The secret is out, and the beers produced by Crooked Stave have become some of the most coveted brews around town. Brett Blue pours pitch black with a delicate beige head. The nose is complex with brilliant earthyness, notes of blue spruce, citrus, cocoa, and just a touch of brett. The mouth feel really blew me away. It has a subtle hoppyness at first that gives way to blue spruce, subtle notes of pepper, coffee, and a pleasantly dry finish. Grab what you can now, drink one fresh, and let a few sit. This bad boy is only going to get better with age! Cheers!
